This is another painting of a farm in Wallowa County, Oregon. This County appears to have many great farms to paint.  This frarm was also buit in 1933 and is still in operation.

This is my 14th Tall Ship in this series.  The 2-Mast Brig became a very properly style of ship.  This ship is slow moving at a quite sunset trying to get to someplace only the ship crew knows.

This painting inspiration came from Darrell Crow's series of Tall Ships.  This painting is 16" x 20" oil on stretched canvas, completed Jul, 2008, signed and dated on the front, the painting name is located on the back frame.

This is my 13th Tall Ship in this series. The Mayflower II is a reporductionof the origional ship and was built in UK from donations. A symbol of friendship between UK and the USA for collaboration in World War II.  The ship is 106 by 25 feet wide, 236 tons displacement, 4 mast and 6 sails. On April 20 1957 it made its first voyage to the USA.

The original Mayflower was a Bark or Whitby because of its hull.  The origional Mayflower was a merchant ship with a flat bottom, when it first sailed to this country in Sept 1620.

This painting has a warm glowing sun set in the desert area late in the afternoon. This painting shows the silhouette of the unusual Joshua tree that can live for centeries with very little water.
