This original painting is 16" x 20" oil on stretched canvas, completed July, 2010, signed and dated on the front, and the painting name is located on the back frame.

This painting, a silhouetta of a Friesian is virtually unmistakable, a noble head, long, gracefully arched neck, and feathering on the lower legs.  The mane and tail are always full and abundant.  Always black, occasionally with a small white star.  The place of origin, the area along the coast of the North Sea, present day Neitherlands to Denmark.
